African Jade

African Jade is a semi-precious gemstone. It chemical compound is comprised of Calcium Aluminum and Silicate.  The colored bright green is a result of having chromium and Green Garnet. The stone is primarily found and mined in Africa.

  African Jade is also been called ‘new jade’.  As a jewelry piece, it’s used as a substitute for the more expensive jade as it is very similar in appearance.  African Jade is an extremely tough and durable gemstone.

 African Jade is believed to have general healing power. It also promotes relaxation.  Other beliefs include bringing good luck and wealth.
